Major and Minor Arcana’s
Tarot is our life’s tale, a mirror to our soul, and the key to our inner wisdom. The seventy-eight Tarot cards contain every spiritual lesson we encounter in our life. And when we consult the Tarot, we will be taught the specific lessons we must learn and master in order to live an inspired life. It’s similar to putting up a mirror to yourself in order to reach your subconscious mind and tap into the wisdom (and solutions) that we all have. The traditional Waite-Smith deck consists of 78 cards out of which 22 are Major Arcana’s and 56 are Minor Arcana’s.
The Major Arcana, also known as the Trump Cards, begins with The Fool card, and The Fool is the pivotal character of the Major Arcana, making his journey through each card, going through spiritual experiences and learning soul lessons. Major Arcana in a reading then can mean experiences related to some major life-changing events that will shine light on some vital spiritual teachings and truth.
What can Major Arcana in your reading mean
It represents the karmic and spiritual teachings of life
A journey to spiritual self-awareness, depicting the numerous stages we go through as we seek deeper significance and insight
Soul-level learning that is profound and impactful
Paying attention to higher spiritual or karmic learnings
The second part of the deck which are the 56 Minor Arcana cards reveal information about situations, challenges, learnings of our every day life. It helps in understanding and learning about the influences and insights that motivates us to make those everyday decisions, defines our objectives, and manifest our goals. Minor Arcana also teaches us that energy is constantly changing, future is dynamic, and our lives can be built exactly how we want them to be.
Minor Arcana translates into Minor secrets:
Cups, Pentacles, Swords, and Wands are the four suits
16 Court Cards (four from each suit) reflect personality traits, situations, people, events
The ordeals we face on a daily basis
Practical aspects of life
Current situations/issues affecting Querent’s life
